Company History

Bright Lights USA was founded in 1990 to supply the U.S. military and its allies with mechanical and electro-mechanical components. Our philosophy has always remained unchanged: We support warfighters with high quality products and are determined to always exceed their expectations. Our library boasts over 5 million government drawings enabling us to access and manufacture across multiple government platforms. We employ over 100 team members whose dedication and talent serve as the backbone of the company’s continued success.

As a family business that began its operation in the founder’s basement, the business enjoyed rapid growth by supporting the Defense Logistics Agency and several clients in Canada. After three years, Bright Lights USA moved to a 6,000 square foot space in Barrington, NJ and just one year later, purchased an additional 120,000 square foot facility in Camden, NJ to support inventory and new machinery. Our two locations allow us to provide superior customer service to our 700 plus customers across various sectors. In November 2016, we distinguished ourselves as a Defense Manufacturer by registering to do business as BLUSA Defense Manufacturing.

BLUSA Defense Manufacturing is proud of our commitment to both customer service and to our community. We prioritize community involvement and actively seek to employ military veterans. BLUSA also recruits from local colleges in the greater South Jersey area, to add to our growing staff of engineers, technicians, and machine operators. BLUSA Defense Manufacturing continues to successfully grow and expand year after year. With that, we are excited to announce our relocation to a 67,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility in Mount Laurel, NJ.
