Maintenance (Janitorial) Worker

We are currently recruiting new members to join our established team of motivated and passionate skilled tradespersons.
Candidates who apply should have the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a maintenance worker or other similar position
- Basic working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Experience working with tools, including hand and electrical tools
- Successful completion of on-site apprenticeship training required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- General passion for creative problem-solving
Candidates will be required to perform the following duties:
- Daily duties:
- Sweep & Mop bathrooms AM. 1st thing each day
- Towel & TP replenishment (Men & Ladies rooms)
- Wipe and sanitize all door handles
- Pick up trash in parking lot and around building
- Empty Shop trash cans
- Remove scrap cans and add new empty on floor
- Monitor scrap cans and other scraps & advise for pickup
- Sweep general shop areas
- Break down and load cardboard bundler
- Open and close loading dock gate each day
- Mop lunch area
- Monitor light bulbs on shop floor and keep inventory or bulbs
- Keep both stairwells swept and lit properly
- Forklift Duties
- As needed:
- Weed killer in parking lot and sidewalks
- Deburr, Mask & De-Mask, Sand Blast when required
- Time-management and deadline driven skills
- Abide by all safety standards at all times
- Other general duties as required
